HKUAA Dinner Talk: Amazing Iran (presentation with photos)



With 5,000 years of rich and colourful history Iran is one of the world's oldest and continuous civilisation very worthy to visit. Unfortunately this country has been grossly misrepresented by some western media in recent years deterring people to do so. This is an objective pictorial account covering the country's geography, climate, history, culture, religion, people as well as its very unique relationship with Hong Kong and China past and present.

**Speaker's profile : Graduated from HKU in physical geography and retired from the logistics industry Vincent is currently teaching part time in the Chinese University of HK and the HK Polytechnic University. His hobbies include collecting rocks, minerals, fossils and sea shells as well as visiting  unusual destinations such as the Galapagos, Namibia, Ethiopia and Antarctica and has just returned from his second trip to Iran. He has given presentations about his trips to the  HK Geological Society, the HK Mineralogy Society & the HK Outwardbound School
