Summary: Christie's, the world's leading art business, has been conducting the greatest auctions around the world since 18th century, with two auctions in Hong Kong annually. Prices of auction items range from $200 to over $100 million. Christie's has 53 offices in 32 countries and 10 salerooms around the world. Christie’s Hong Kong Autumn 2010 auctions will take place from 26 November to 2 December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Our private guided tour there on Nov 27 will lead you to the Modern Chinese Paintings showcase that will be auctioned afterwards. Rachel, specialized in this area in Christie's, will be illustrating to you few key paintings there, such as the masterpieces of Zhang Daqian (張大千) and Lin Fengmian (林風眠). It is a very precious chance to have Rachel to introduce to us some essential elements of these valuable arts and tips of art appreciation in an interactive approach.
After the guided tour, you can stay behind to appreciate other art work at the venue - from classical Chinese paintings and Calligraphy, to cutting-edge contemporary works from artists throughout Asia, as well as fine wine, magnificent jewellery, and priceless watches.
