The New Graduates Welcome Party 2005

The New Graduates Welcome Party cum Prize Presentation was successfully held at the HKUAA premises on 25th June, 2005.

The programme was started by the welcoming speech by our president, Mr. Danny D.B. Ho, and the address by our guest of honour, Prof. C.F. Lee, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong, followed by the presentation of prizes to the winners of Hong Kong University Alumni Prize.  There are totally ten awardees in this academic year.

In addition to the prize presentation, we were honoured to have three distinguished guests, including (i) Ms May Fung, Guest Lecturer, The Open University of Hong Kong, (ii) Mr Larry Sze, Managing Director, Gilman Ltd. and (iii) Dr. B.K. Choy, Programme Director, Division of Social Sciences, HKU SPACE, to lead the subsequent group discussion session and share their experience with the new graduates on (i) “Business Etiquette/Professional Image Building”, (ii) “What does the employer expect from you?” and (iii) “EQ and Interpersonal Skills at work” respectively.

More than sixty young graduates participated in the group discussion sessions.  Most of them commented that they have enjoyed the discussions and found the sessions interesting and useful to them.
