Message from Tommy Ling, chairman of the Bar Committee:

Kung Hei Fai Choy! Most of you know, I hope, we have a nice bar on the premises where you can order drinks and relax in the congenial environment. You may also notice that we have been holding functions to promote red wine drinking. I would like to introduce here to you some of the highlights of this year’s events:

1.     New Wine Menu

‘Only to offer good value wines is our motto’! Most of the red wines in our stock have Robert Parker rating of 90 or above and are also drinkable now! Their prices are the best in town for on premises drinking:

2.    Fine Wine Dinner on March 27, Wednesday

We will be hosting this all Bordeaux event by the end of March. For every 12-person table there will be 5 bottles of red from the major appellations with scores ranging from RP93 to 95+ (also 5«)! Together with a sumptuous meal, the cost is $680 per head and it is limited to four tables only (48 persons). Please reserve your seats early!
 

3.    Fine Wine Club

We are organizing a membership club for enjoyment and purchase of good value red wines including both old and new world ones. Members will have the opportunity to participate in free tasting and subscription to our bulk purchases the prices of which will be the best in town! (Money back guarantee!) You pay an annual fee of $100 for the privileges. At least 4 subscriptions of fine wines will be offered every year.

Our first offer this year is a Bordeaux of RP93 rating: The 2009 Les Gravieres from St Emilion. 100% Merlot with just under 14% alcohol, full-bodied with outstanding intensity, silky tannins and low acidity, drinkable now and for 15 years.
