[FULL] HKUAA Visit To CAD Education Path (參觀民航處教育徑) by Professional Get-together Group (2 March 2019 Sat Morning)

 

CAD (參觀民航處教育徑) Education Path is constructed inside the CAD Headquarters with a view to arousing the interest of the general public in aviation. There are 3 exhibition galleries within the Education Path, each with a particular theme and topic. The contents of the Education Path have been designed to be simple and in plain language to enable easy understanding of the topics through text, artifacts and interactive multimedia systems.

Date: 2 March 2019 (Sat Morning)

Time of Assembly: 8:45 am

Place of Assembly: Exit D of MTR Tsuen Wan West Station(荃灣西地鐵站)

(We will leave sharp at 9:00 am and take coach direct to Civil Aviation Department Headquarters at Hong Kong International. Late comer will not be waited.  Return coach will be arranged to travel back to Exit D of MTR Tsuen Wan West Station after the Visit)

Period of Visit: 9:00 am- 12:30 pm

Visit Venue:  Civil Aviation Department Headquarters, 1 Tung Fai Road, Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau, Hong Kong

Fee: $100 per head (the fee includes administration fee, coach travel and insurance)

(No fee can be refund after payment except the cancellation of the visit)

No of participants: 28 at max (First-come first served at the age of 9 or above)

Medium of Instruction: Cantonese supplemented with English

Deadline for Enrolment: Closed when it is FULL HOUSE

If you, as a HKUAA member, together with your friends or relatives at the age of 9 or above, are interested in this event, please fill in the relevant information during your registration by CLICKING THE BUTTON OF “Register Now” and then make payment through PayPal System – Visa/Master Credit Card acceptable under PayPal)

All successful applicants will be confirmed and notified by email around 1 week (23 Feb 2019 - Sat) before the event day of 2 March 2019 (Sat Morning). No fee refund can be entertained except when the event is cancelled.

1. 參與者及同行9 歲以上親友同意接受是次戶外活動，並清楚活動帶有一定之危險性。同時明白本人的健康狀況良好，適宜參加是次活動。如在活動期間發生意外而導致任何傷亡，參與者願意承擔責任，而不會追究香港大學校友會。
2. 參與者亦願意服從本會工作人員一切規則及安排。了解是次戶外活動是在戶外進行，對體能有一定要求。活動有機會在不同的天氣下進行，需要行走一定預計的路程。在活動進行期間，參與者絕對不能服用未經醫生認可的藥物，嚴禁吸煙、飲酒或使用任何興奮劑或鎮定劑。
3. 參與者及同行 9 歲以上親友同意授權香港大學校友會在活動進行期間如遇緊急的情況下，為參與者安排送院和接受治療，也明白到活動在戶外進行，對體能上都會有一定的考驗。

Notice to Visitors from Civil Aviation Department (CAD) Aviation Education Path

(i) Inclement Weather
The Aviation Education Path will be closed when the following weather warning(s) is(are) issued by the Hong Kong Observatory:
Ø Tropical Cyclone Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement
Ø Black Rainstorm Warning Signal
Taking into account the prevailing weather conditions, CAD may discontinue visit activity.

(ii) Following instructions
Visitors must follow instructions given by CAD staff/tour guides during the visit. For taking photographs or video recordings, prior permission from CAD staff/tour guides should be sought.

(iii) Reschedule or Cancellation
CAD reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any visit activity in case of emergency, in the interest of safety or for any other reason.
