Traveling to world’s ancient countries through talks and rich collections of pictures
INDIA (2 Sessions) by Mr. Vincent WONG
India is vast country with a rich history of more than 5,000 years. Classified as a sub-continent, it is the seventh largest country by area with a very interesting geological history and diverse landscape. With 1.42 billion people, India has just surpassed China to be the most populous country in the world and in terms of human genetic diversity second only to Africa. The sub-continent is also the birthplace for 4 religions, namely Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism, which enriched its culture and also have profound influence in Asia as well as the world. India had been invaded by foreign countries and colonized but able to reemerge today as a major world power. The talk will try to provide some background information for travelers interested to visit this incredible and scenic country.
