 HKU Professor Lap-Chee Tsui Cup

Date:              11 Sep 2013, Wednesday

Course:          Diyin Lake Golf Club, Zhong Shan, China

                   迪茵湖休閑體育俱樂部, 中國廣東省中山市三角鎮高平工業區

Format:                 Team competition (Average strokes of the best 70% of the players in the team) and individual gross score.

Teams:                 The organizer will group players into teams according to their affiliations.

A player may carry multiple identities, e.g. if he (or she) is a graduate of the Engineering Faculty in the 1980’s and was an affiliated member of St. John’s College, he may represent “Engineering”, “1980’s” and “SJC” to compete for the Best Faculty, Best Decade and Best Hall prizes respectively. For players with no hall affiliation, the organizer will group these players into one group.

A Team should have at least 5 members.

Entry:                  Please fill in the entry form and email to on or before 30 August 2013.

Cost:               HK$980

(including transportation from Huang Gang, lunch, green fee, cart & caddies)

10:30     Arrive Diyin Lake Golf Club

18:00     Depart to Huang Guang

Rules: 1.The Rules of Golf of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews to be applied subjected to the local rules of Diyin Lake Golf Club. 2.Tee:        Men (Blue); Ladies (Red)

Prizes: 1.Most supportive decade, faculty and hall to award the teams with most players. 2.Team Prizes for Champion and First Runner Up: -

-       Best Hall Team

-       Best Faculty Team

-       Best Decade Team 1.If the Average Total Strokes of two teams are the same, the team with more players shall become the winner. 2.Closest to Pin

Longest Drive 1.Individual Prizes for Champion, First and Second Runner Up.

Best Gross Score

Remarks: 1.The event will be postponed if the Rainstorm Black Signal or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted at 06:00 on that day. 2.The best 16 players shall have the priority to represent the HKU Team in the Intervarsity Games 2013 against CUHK to be held on 13 & 14 Oct 2013 in Diyin Lake. 3.The HKU Golf Team will not provide insurance for the participants of this event. Participants should arrange for their own insurance policies.
