Summary:

In light of the overwhelming responses from our recent Drama Sharing Workshop on July 28, HKUAA Green and Culture Group is honoured to organize an exclusive backstage visit of Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio's non-verbal physical comedy, Detention (打轉教室), on August 16, 2013 (Friday).

Detention is a fresh example of classic Hong Kong humour that entertains audience and communicates messages without words to all walks of life and individuals from different cultures. The story is set during an after-school detention session when three naughty boys are joined by a gorgeous classmate, ending up in a talent competition for her affection! Comprised of professional comedians, drummers, tap dancers, a Kung Fu master and many more, Tang’s casts are going to amuse you with a series of comical and farcical scenarios that could resonate with every individual who is or was a student. This internationally acclaimed theatre event by the U.K. media in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2012 is definitely a not-to-miss of the year!

Followed by the drama show, you will have the chance to join an exclusive backstage visit guided by Mr. Tang Shu-wing, globally renowned and award-winning theatre director, actor and drama educator. Being the artistic director of Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio, Tang will be the best person to speak to you the sweat and tears of the behind-the-scene preparation, for an inside-out understanding of stage drama operation.

Welcome to bring your family and friends to join.
