Countries in Pictures – Travel Talk Series
Traveling to world’s ancient countries through talks and rich collections of pictures
NAMIBIA, BOTSWANA AND VICTORIA FALLS by Mr. Vincent WONG
Located in southwest Africa, Namibia possesses rocks covering 3.8 billion years of Earth’s history and some of the world’s most stunning landscape such as the Namib Desert, the Kalahari Desert, the Fish River Canyon and the Etosha Pan. It is also home to many ancient tribal inhabitants, diverse wild life, exquisite plants as well as gem quality marine diamond and other collector category mineral specimens.
Namibia’s neighbour country Botswana has two key attractions, namely the unique and naturally beautiful Okavango Delta and the Makgadikgadi Salt Pan, which has the largest concentration of game in Africa. The country also ranks third in the world in diamond production.
The Victoria Falls is located on the Zambezi River at the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia which is absolutely magnificent.
Testimonials from participants of previous travel talks and study tours led by Vincent:
“I have learnt a lot on this subject!”
“Very comprehensive indeed. Thanks!”
“Very useful guide for my future trip!”
”Now what I have seen makes much more sense. Thank you!”
