Charge: FREE for Fine Wine Club members; $100 per person for other members and guests.

Dear wine lovers,

The Fine Wine Club is hosting a tasting on 21 December, Friday at the AA Bar starting at 6:45 pm. The event, as usual, is free for Wine Club members and $100 for guests and other HKUAA members.

There will be a total of five high score wines including Southern Rhône, Southern France and Spanish. These wInes are either new additions to the AA Bar wine menu or will be added in the future. And some of the wines will be available for purchase at discounted prices, even below cost, which is only a onetime offer at the tasting. So please sign up quickly and mark your diary for this special year end wine event. Details of the wines for tasting are as follows:

2. 2011 Mas Que Vinos El Senorito*, Spain. RP 90

3. 2011 Allegro Con Spirito Monte Hiniesta*, Rioja Spain. RP 92

4. 2014 Tenuta Ulysses Amaranta Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Italy. LM 99

5. 2007 Clos St Jean Chateauneuf du Pape, Southern Rhône. RP 94

* Wines so denoted will be available for purchase at cost during the tasting in limited number.

I would also like to take this opportunity to apologise to you all for not able to stage a wine dinner this year for various reasons but mainly due to lack of sponsors. I promise there will be at least one in 2019 !
