BIO:
Dr Chung Chor-yat, Stephen is an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in Sports Medicine & Arthroscopic surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. He is an experienced surgeon in minimally invasive knee and shoulder arthroscopic surgeries as well as complex trauma surgeries.
Dr. Chung was graduated at The University of Hong Kong in 2005 and work under the Hospital Authority for training in the field of Orthopaedics. In 2015, he was appointed as Associate Consultant at Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Princess Margaret Hospital. He is a Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of both The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. From July 2019 onwards, he will join Central Specialist Medical Centre as a private Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Dr. Chung received oversea training around the world (Hannover, Germany; Toronto, Canada; Zurich, Switzerland; Seoul, Korea). He also received the AO Trauma Travelling Fellowship in 2015 and Hospital Authority Corporate Scholarship on shoulder arthroplasty in 2017.
Dr Chung has active participation in the Orthopaedic community. He is the Honorary Secretary of Sports Medicine Chapter of the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association (2019-20) and a trainer of Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Outside work, Dr. Chung served as a Superintendent for St. John Ambulance Brigade. He is also a sports lover who enjoys skiing, hiking and playing tennis during his leisure time.
