Dear alumni member,

SUMMER (HYBRID) SEASON

After months of absence, HKUAA Choir is now planning a revival called All Past Favorites!!!  Featuring in this summer season selections from Messiah, Phantom of the Opera, Encores for Choirs (Blue Book)!  At the helm as always, Dr. Michael Ryan who has always led the choir for the past 8 years!  

However, due to the precautions of the COVID-19, the choir will be having a hybrid season that is, regular rehearsals will take place at HKUAA Clubhouse for members who are willing to show up and practice with Dr. Ryan.  However, those present at rehearsals are to wear face masks the whole time and -- this is mandatory!  

Members who choose to use the ZOOM, can watch live rehearsals and listen to the teachings of Dr. Ryan online.

Both types of participants are welcome to join the summer season.  

Details of Rehearsal Schedule -- Saturdays at HKUAA Clubhouse from 3:00 - 4:30pm (1.5 hours duration with NO BREAK)

Matinee Show on September 12th Saturday at HKUAA Clubhouse in the afternoon!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Every participant must come together to practice at HKUAA Clubhouse at the last two rehearsals before performance!  Otherwise, without the blending of sound, he/she cannot join in our performance on September 12th!

Subscription Fee: HKD $888.00

Both members who are present at rehearsals and those who used the ZOOM must pay the same amount of subscription.
(First degree HKU graduates who graduated from 2015 onwards are offered a 50% off discount on subscription fee.)

Deadline of Application: July 17th, 2020.

Post of Accompanist/Assistant Music Direction is Required!  Members are welcome to introduce/recommend a pianist who will be offered an honorarium by HKUAA Choir.  An audition will be taken by Dr. Ryan upon notice!  Kindly send in 4-5 sentences of music background and practical experience to Miss Lucy Cheung via WhatsApp at +852 9122 1050, thank you!  Applications will be accepted from now until July 25th, 2020.
