Countries in Pictures – Travel Talk Series- MESOAMERICA by Mr. Vincent WONG

Countries in Pictures – Travel Talk Series

Traveling to world’s ancient countries through talks and rich collections of pictures

MESOAMERICA by Mr. Vincent WONG

Mesoamerica civilization refers to the complex indigenous culture developed prior to the Spanish exploration and conquest in the 16th century. It covers geographically Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and El Salvador. The organization of its kingdoms and empires, the sophistication of its monuments and cities, the extent and refinement of its intellectual accomplishment, the Olmec, Zapotec, Teotihuacan, Maya, Toltec as well as Aztec, along with its comparable Andean civilization of the Inca further south, represent the American Indian culture in the New World quite comparable to that of Egypt, Mesopotamia, India and China.

Testimonials from participants of previous travel talks and study tours led by Vincent:

“I have learnt a lot on this subject!”

“Very comprehensive indeed. Thanks!”

“Very useful guide for my future trip!”

”Now what I have seen makes much more sense. Thank you!”
