- Learn about the properties and uses of different herbs, ranging from common herbs such as Selfheal (夏枯草) and Fleeceflower Root (何首烏) to poisonous one such as Ricinus (蓖麻), which are grown in Jockey Club Lo Wai Chinese Herb Garden through a guided tour led by guides with in-depth knowledge of Chinese herbs
- Taste herbal tea and desserts
- Try herb planting and make anti-mosquito cream

Summary:
Established in the oldest village of Tsuen Wan in 2000, Jockey Club Lo Wai Chinese Herb Garden is the first herbal garden run by a non–profit making organization, the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Lady MacLehose Centre. With a size of 10,000 square feet, over 250 types of Chinese herbs are grown in the Garden. During the guided tour by herbal experts, participants will peep into the world of traditional Chinese medicine by learning the tips to identify different herbs, their practical uses and some important points to note when consuming them. Besides, participants could taste the delicious desserts with herbal tea, learn herb planting and DIY anti-mosquito cream to make it a fun-filled afternoon at the beautiful garden. Don’t hesitate to join our function to appreciate the wisdom of traditional Chinese and hand-make unique souvenirs for your relatives and friends!
